After nearly 24 hours of travel, I have nearly transversed the 550-ish miles between my house and the school bus I have purchased to turn into a groovy Super Skoolie RV.
Why so long to go a relatively short distance? One word: Greyhound.
It would be easy to criticize Greyhound. Dirty buses, dirty stations, and rude employees. But I don’t criticize–it provides a service at a very reasonable cost to people who almost certainly need such a break in getting from Point A to Point B. In my case, to fly, I would only have been able to get to with a couple of hundred miles to my destination, and then would have had to rent a car one way. Going Greyhound is by far the cheapest and most cost-effective way to get to the little town I have to get to.
I’ll be at my destination station in two hours and should be at the location where the bus is at an hour after that.
More to come shortly as events develop, so stay tuned!
